From policy to practice: Why involving healthcare staff and patients is crucial for success #shorts

Many entities play a role in shaping healthcare policies, from insurance plans and state and federal governments, to name a few. While it's important to consider these factors, I believe it's equally important to partner with the people who will be directly impacted by the policies we are trying to implement.

In the case of educational policy, for example, it's crucial to partner with teachers, students, and parents. Similarly, for healthcare policy, we should engage healthcare staff, providers, and patients and families. By doing so, we can earn their trust and engagement, which is critical for the success of any policy.

In healthcare we have to ensure that we are not only taking care of the policies but also the people who they will impact. By engaging all the stakeholders involved, we can create policies that not only improve outcomes but also take into account the perspectives and needs of the people who will be impacted.
